Thyme Witch Broom - Blessing Spell

Thyme is a spice that is highly sort after in witch craft for it enhancing enhances
physic abilities, healing, promoting a restful night sleep, cleansing, and to ward off malicious spirits.

What better way to enhance those abilities then to make it into a broom?
Besom, or the 'witch's broom' is used for sweeping away negative spirits and often used as a protective device. The Witch's broom is used for many of things from hiding your wands, to harboring spirits. This is one of the most important of a witch’s tools, representing the wind
element to clean and purify an area.


Suspicion would also have it, that a broom that takes a home at the door of any house will act as a guide. If it should fall expect a visitor on the way.
They would also say, that if you should find a spider crawling across your broom it is better off to leave it or bring it outside. To kill it would bring bad luck to your home.

You Will Need:
A Broom
Salt
A Feather
A Candle
Some Water
Your Breath

The Blessing:
" I consecrate this broom, Not only as a tool
of my craft, But as a symbol of my Faith"
(Sprinkle the salt onto the broom)
(Brush the broom with the feather)
" I bless this broom with the spirit of air, Of
bells and feathers, Of spirit and min"
(Touch the broom with the candle flame)
(very quickly so not to catch fire)
" I bless this broom with the spirit of fire,
Of spice and flame, Of courage and energy"
(Sprinkle some of the water onto the broom)
" I bless this broom with the spirit of water,
Of pearls and shells, Of emotion and cleansing"
(Blow your breath across the broom)

that together we may honour the lord and lady"
